I am stuck in Ephesians at the moment. Not in the sense of being bogged down, because Ephesians is exactly where I want to be. I just keep returning again and again and each time discover a new meaning and a new word to contemplate.
Ephesians 2.10 has been resonating for a little while: " For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago". You know- the one at the top of my page! Those words are so powerful. We can be so disparaging and discouraging of each other and ourselves. We can question our worth, our contribution, our achievements. Yet we are God's masterpiece. God, all powerful, amazing, incredible, magnificent, glorious, inspirational God the Creator- we are His masterpiece. What an incredible thought. We who doubt ourselves, who diminish ourselves, who stumble, who fall, who are weak, who fail, who don't always get it right....we are His masterpiece. Next time you start that negative self talk, stop and say instead "I am God's masterpiece". Let everything else fall away.
You are God's masterpiece.....and so am I :0)
