There are times when we walk in the sunshine of God's love. Those are the days, the moments when our hearts are filled with JOY, and we can not stop smiling. We can see God everywhere and in everything we do and touch, and we know that we are being BLESSED.
There are times when we walk in God's love, when we are walking in the valleys and the only sunshine we know is God's love. Those are the days, the moments when we know that we are under spiritual attack, when we don't know who we can trust as sometimes the attack can come from an unexpected source, when we can not see God in everything, sometimes even in anything...YET we know that we are not alone. We are never alone. Even in our darkest moments, even in the pit of despair, even in our deepest sorrow, even in our shame...WE ARE NEVER ALONE.
Everything that happens to us includes and involves God. Sometimes we forget that. Sometimes we are deceived into thinking that being blessed means we get everything the way we want, when we want and how we want.
Yeah, no, that is not how it works. Sometimes you can be really really blessed and it can seem to work that way- but don't forget, God is still in charge.
Our blessings come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes they come wrapped up as trouble or heartache.
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”
James 1:2-3
Know that no matter where you are, or what is happening, there is blessing. There is always a blessing. God loves us and we are never alone, and He will bless us.
